We are a family owned and operated American Quarter Horse breeding farm, specializing in creating Western Pleasure show horses who compete at the highest level of AQHA and NSBA competition.
Established in 2013, Leavell Farms has been a long time goal for founders Shane and Darla Leavell. Taking our extensive experience in the horse industry and our knowledge gained from other ventures we have been able to quickly accumulate a terrific group of broodmares. These mares give us the baseline for an exceptional breeding program. Living in the heart of horse country, we have access to some of the best veterinary and breeding assistance in the world and our very grateful to Cross Creek Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Fatima Wazir and Dr. Hugh Behling for all their assistance. We will continue to seek out the best mares to breed to the best stallions. Finding mares like Vitalism and Zips Splash O Gold to add to our stable will help solidify our breeding program for years to come.
With the expertise of barn manager Rocky Rodriguez, we are able to give all of our stock the best possible start in life. As yearlings, all our stock get brought in daily for feedings and lessons. They are worked with gently, lightly worked and groomed daily. Every yearling gets their own time and are worked with patiently. The result are younsters that load, clip, and are all around good citizens. Many show prowess for lunge line events before they start their riding career. All of our horses are fed top quality Purina feed products and are supplemented with DAC supplements and oil. The results continue to speak for themselves.
